Reward partners for their own trades
By default, a partner doesn't receive rewards for the partner's own trades. A self rebate is an optional reward that the partner receives on each own trade. In reports, it is shown as a reward of level 0.
How a self rebate is calculated
A self rebate is calculated by the payment plan of the partner's own IB type for the traded symbol:
Reward = Payment plan × Personal ratio × Self rebate ratio × Tier ratio
The Self rebate ratio is set in percent and is used instead of a level ratio.
The following rules apply:
- If the partner's IB type has no payment plan for the traded symbol, no self rebate is paid. Rewards of the upline partners are paid as usual.
- A self rebate doesn't change rewards of the upline partners. For the Max amount payment plan, the self rebate is paid in addition to the amount shared between the upline partners.
- Only one self rebate is paid per trade. If a partner participates in several partnership programs with self rebates enabled, the reward is paid in the program the partner joined first.
- A partner's own trading volume isn't counted towards the partner's tier targets, and the partner isn't counted as the partner's own active trader.
- Self rebates are paid to top-level partners as well as to sub-IBs.
Before enabling self rebates, check that rewarding partners for their own trading complies with the regulatory requirements that apply to your business.
Enable self rebates for an IB type
Go to Introducing brokers > Program > Types.
Select an IB type and open the Preferences tab.
Set Self rebate to Yes.
Optionally, set Self rebate ratio — the percentage of the payment plan reward paid as a self rebate, from greater than 0 to 100. Defaults to 100.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Override self rebates for a partner
Go to Introducing brokers > Program > Introducing brokers.
Select a partner from the list and click the name or 
.
On the Personal data tab, set Self rebate:
- Inherited — the IB type setting is used.
- Yes — the partner receives self rebates regardless of the IB type setting.
- No — the partner doesn't receive self rebates regardless of the IB type setting.
Optionally, set Self rebate ratio. Leave it empty to use the IB type ratio.
Click Save to apply the changes.
