IB Link Requests
Review client requests to be linked to a specific Introducing Broker and approve them to attach or reassign the client automatically
IB link requests are disabled by default. Contact your B2BROKER integration team to enable them.
A client who was referred by a partner but isn't linked to them can ask to be linked to this partner from the B2CORE UI. The client enters the partner's Client ID, email address or referral code, as described in How to link your account to a partner. A client can have only one pending request at a time.
Requests appear in the Clients > Requests section of the B2CORE Back Office with the IB link type. When a request is created, an email with the request number, the client's name and email, the entered identifier and an Open request button is sent to the client's manager.
Request details
The request details page contains two blocks.
Requested partner
- Entered identifier — the value the client entered: a Client ID, an email address or a referral code.
- IB ID — the Client ID of the partner the identifier belongs to. Click the link to open the partner's client profile.
- IB Email — the partner's email address.
- Programs — the partnership programs the partner participates in.
Current IB
- Current IB — the partnership programs of the partner the client is currently linked to, or None if the client isn't linked to any partner. Click a program to open the partner's details.
- Eligibility — whether the client can be linked to the requested partner. It's checked again when you open the request, so the value reflects the current state. Possible values:
- Eligible — the request can be approved.
- Partner not found or disabled — the identifier doesn't match an active partner.
- Client cannot be linked to himself — the identifier belongs to the client.
- Partner is in the client's downline — the requested partner is one of the client's sub-IBs.
- Client is already under this partner — the client is already linked to the requested partner in all of the partner's programs.
- Client has another pending IB link request — the client has another request waiting for review.
- Reassignment — the IDs of the reassignments performed on approval, one for each partnership program the client was moved from. Shown only for approved requests in which the client was moved from another partner.
Approving a request
When you approve a request, the eligibility is checked again, and the client is linked to the requested partner in every partnership program the partner participates in:
- If the client isn't linked to any partner, the client is added to the partner in each of these programs.
- If the client is linked to another partner, each of these links is reassigned to the requested partner: to the partner's program in the same group, if there is one, or to another program of the partner. If the partner has fewer programs than the client has links, the remaining links to the previous partner are removed. Each reassignment appears in the Reassign Users history as a Reassign One operation, and links to them are shown in the Reassignment field of the request.
- If the client is already linked to the requested partner in some of the programs, the client is added to the partner in the rest of them.
If the request is no longer eligible, or the link can't be created, the approval fails with an error, and the request stays pending. Review the Eligibility field, and then approve or decline the request.
After the approval, the client receives the Your partner link request has been approved email. No financial transactions are created.
Declining a request
When you decline a request, the client isn't linked to the partner and receives the Your partner link request has been declined email. The client can send a new request.
Permissions
Access to IB link requests is controlled by two permissions in the System > Groups > Client's requests section of the B2CORE Back Office.
