How to link your account to a partner

Learn how to ask the broker to link your B2CORE account to the partner who referred you, using the partner's Client ID, email or referral code

Linking an account to a partner is disabled by default and is available only if your broker has enabled it. If you don't see the Link your account button, contact your broker.

If a partner referred you but your account isn't linked to them, for example, because you signed up without their referral link, you can ask the broker to link your account to this partner. The request is reviewed by a B2CORE admin.

To send a request:

Expand the partnership section in the main menu (labeled IB Room or Partners, depending on the broker configuration) and click any option in the expanded menu, such as Partner Dashboard, Promo, or Reports.

Under Already referred by a partner?, click Link your account.

On the Link your account to a partner page, fill in the Partner identifier field with one of the following:

the partner's Client ID;
the partner's email address;
the partner's referral code.

Ask your partner for any of these values. The Email field shows the email address of your account and can't be edited.

Click Send request.

If the identifier doesn't match an active partner, or your account can't be linked to this partner, the error The identifier cannot be used for an IB link request. is shown below the field. Check the value with your partner and try again.

After you send the request, the page shows the message Your request is pending. While the request is pending, you can't send another request or join a partnership program: the partnership section opens the same page until the request is processed.

When a B2CORE admin processes the request, you receive an email:

Your partner link request has been approved — your account is now linked to the partner. If your account was linked to another partner before, it's moved to the new one.
Your partner link request has been declined — your account stays as it was. You can send a new request.
