Client labels
Manage the client labels available in your system. Labels are shown as colored chips on the client list and client profile, and can be used to filter clients
On this page, you can view the client labels available in your system and manage your own.
Labels are markers attached to clients. They appear as colored chips in the client list and on a client's profile, and you can filter the client list by them.
There are two kinds of label:
System
Maintained automatically by B2CORE. System labels are attached and removed for you as a client's situation changes, and they cannot be renamed, recolored, deleted, or assigned by hand.
Custom
Created by administrators for your own segmentation. You choose the name and color, and you decide which clients carry them.
System labels
| Label | Attached when |
|---|---|
| Deposited | The client completes their first deposit. |
Deposited records something that happened, so it stays on the client once earned — it is never removed, even if the client makes no further deposits.
It is attached only for a completed deposit. Internal transfers, bonus payouts and exchange top-ups do not count as deposits and do not attach it.
Introducing-broker labels (IB Partner, IB Client) are planned but not part of this release.
Information on this page
ID
The identifier of the label.
Name
The label name, shown on the chip.
Code
The machine name of the label. Integrations should match on the code rather than the name.
Kind
Either System or Custom.
Color
The chip color, as a hex value.
Creating a custom label
- Click Create.
- Enter a Name. This is what the chip shows, and it must be unique.
- Pick a Color from the palette.
- Click Save.
The Code is generated from the name and shown once the label exists. It never changes afterwards, so integrations that match on the code keep working when you rename a label.
The color palette is fixed. Chips are drawn with white text, so a closed set of colors keeps them readable everywhere they appear.
Editing and deleting a custom label
Use the buttons in the first column of the row:
- Pencil — change the name and color. The code stays as it is.
- Bin — delete the label. It is removed from every client that carries it, so the chip disappears from the client list, from client profiles, and from the label filters.
System labels have no buttons: they are maintained by B2CORE and cannot be changed or removed.
Assigning labels to clients
You can only assign custom labels. System labels are attached and removed automatically, so a manual change to them would be undone the next time the rule ran.
One client at a time
- Open the client's profile.
- In Custom Labels, select the labels the client should carry, or remove the ones it should not.
- Save the profile.
If Custom Labels shows chips instead of a selector, your group can assign labels but not edit clients — use the client list instead, as described below.
The Client Labels field beside it lists the system labels the client carries. It is read-only.
Several clients at once
- In the client list, switch on selection mode and tick the clients.
- Open Edit Selected Clients and choose Assign Client Labels.
- Select the labels to apply.
- Leave Replace the existing custom labels instead of adding to them clear to add the labels to whatever the clients already carry, or tick it to replace their custom labels with exactly the set you selected.
- Click Save.
With Replace the existing custom labels instead of adding to them ticked and no labels selected, every custom label is removed from the selected clients. System labels are left alone.
Filtering clients by label
The client list provides two independent label filters:
- Has all of labels — keeps clients carrying every label you select. Selecting more labels narrows the results.
- Has none of labels — keeps clients carrying none of the labels you select. A single one of them is enough to exclude a client.
You can combine them in a single search. For example, selecting Deposited and a VIP label in Has all of labels and a Watchlist label in Has none of labels returns clients who have both deposited and been marked VIP, minus anyone on the watchlist.
Access rights
Each part of the feature has its own permission, set per group in Groups:
| Permission | Allows |
|---|---|
| View client labels | Seeing this page, the label chips, and the label filters on the client list. |
| Create custom client labels | Adding a label to the list. |
| Update custom client labels | Renaming and recoloring a label. |
| Delete custom client labels | Removing a label, and with it every assignment of it. |
| Assign custom client labels to clients | Attaching and detaching labels from the client list. |
Support and account-manager groups can view labels and assign them out of the box. Managing the list itself is reserved for administrators until you grant it.
The picker on a client's profile is part of the client form, so it also needs permission to edit clients (Update clients or Edit tags). A user who can assign labels but not edit clients sees the labels as read-only chips there and assigns them from the client list instead. With the default groups that applies to B2B Account Manager and B2B L1 Support.
Client Labels and Client Tags
Client Labels replace Client Tags. Both are available for now, and they are shown as separate columns on the client list, but Client Tags will be removed in a future release.
Use Client Labels for segmenting and filtering clients. Keep using Client Tags only where you rely on tags to restrict which clients a Back Office user can see — labels do not control visibility.
